WHY US
Now that’s a very interesting question but very simple to explain.

Keeping in view today's fast paced lifestyle, we understand the lack of time on your part to look after the proper diet and cook a nourishing meal for your pet. Usually we feed him what we cook for ourselves, overlooking the fact that his needs are different than ours. Or we get him packaged food. But honestly do we also get highly proccessed food for our kids in order to give them a balanced diet? No, we try to provide it by cooking at home as it is more hygienic, fresh, wholesome free from preservatives and chemicals.

This is where we fit in to your question of WHY US

Because if you decide to cook all of his meals at home, you are taking full responsibility for all of your dogs nutritional requirements. HOW DO WE CATER?
A lot of experimentation and research went into creating more than 30 different meals and natural supplements to suit the Indian climate. All we want is a healthy dog.

The meals, which are prepared under stringent hygienic conditions are vacuum packed and untouched by hands. This increases their shelf life for up to 12 months.

The food immediately regains it fresh look and aroma as soon as it’s put in hot water.

So, whether you are living in a remote corner of the city, or in a high-rise, you don’t have to worry either about your pet food being stale, nor for it being chemically processed.

Woof Yums’ packing conforms to FDA regulations. FSSAI approved. HACCP registered.

Interesting facts about dogs
  • At age one, dogs have the same level of physical development that humans have at age 15.
  • A typical dog has the same brain aptitude level as a toddler. Dogs can comprehend about 250 words and count up to 5. Most dogs have pink tongues, a sign of good health for its supply of blood vessels, nerves and tastebuds. The Chow Chow and the Shar Pei inherently have black tongues, but this has nothing to do with poor health.
  • Dogs are not colorblind. They are able to detect color in their vision, just not as vividly as humans.
  • The seeds of apples and pears should be kept away from dogs. Their composition includes arsenic, which could kill your dog.
  • Dogs have two times the amount of muscles in their ears than human. Studies have shown that obedient dogs live longer lives than pugnacious pugs.
  • 33 percent of dog owners admit to talking to their dog over the telephone, often leaving them messages on the answering machine
  • A typical dog has a mouthful of 42 permanent teeth, while the average human has 32
  • Dogs’ eyes contain a special membrane, called the tapetum lucidum, which allows them to see in the dark. That is why they don’t need night vision goggles A large breed dog’s resting heart beats between 60 and 100 times per minute, and a small dog breed’s heart beats between 100-140. Comparatively, a resting human heart beats 60-100 times per minute.
  • If your dog’s acting funny, get out the umbrella - 72% of dog owners believe their dog can detect when stormy weather is on the way.
  • A dog’s normal temperature is between 101 and 102.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Unlike humans who sweat everywhere, dogs only sweat through the pads of their feet.
  • Dogs’ noses secrete a thin layer of mucous that helps them absorb scent. They then lick their noses to sample the scent through their mouth - that explains why dog noses are so wet.
  • Dogs have fewer taste buds than people, and also occasionally react to certain tastes differently than humans. Dogs have about only 1,700 taste buds whereas humans have 9,000. Dogs don't detect salty and other flavors as keenly as people, but they also don't have as strong an urge to eat it in the first place when compared with humans.
  • This lack of desire for salt may be related to canines' carnivorous roots. Flesh, their basic wild dietary staple, is already packed full with salt, and because of that, dogs naturally don't yearn for it as much. Dogs sense of smell is approximately 1 million times stronger than that of any person. Not only can they pick up on the minor nuances of differing smells, they also can pick up on faint scents that are literally impossible for humans to take in.
  • Sound frequency is measured in Hertz (Hz). The higher the Hertz, the higher-pitched the sound. Dogs hear best at 8,000 Hz, while humans hear best at around 2,000 Hz.
  • Dogs’ ears are extremely expressive. It’s no wonder! There are more than a dozen separate muscles that control a dog’s ear movements.
  • Dogs curl up in a ball when they sleep due to an age-old instinct to keep themselves warm and protect their abdomen and vital organs from predators.
  • In addition to sweating through their paw pads, dogs pant to cool themselves off. A panting dog can take 300-400 breaths (compared to his regular 30-40) with very little effort.
  • Dogs chase their tails for a variety of reasons: curiosity, exercise, anxiety, predatory instinct or, they might have fleas! If your dog is chasing his tail excessively, talk with your It should be talk with your pet.

Puppies up to 3 weeks old

Initially, offer small amounts of food soaked to a mush with either warm water or milk.

Puppies over 3 weeks old

If feeding with milk, gradually replace with water. From 6 weeks slowly reduce liquid. Give small feeds and replace dampened kibble with fresh food.

Feed in at least two meals per day, splitting the daily allowance between the meals. Feed dry with separate bowl of water or moisten with warm water to bring out flavour. Store in cool dry place, keep closed between uses. Supply plenty of clean, fresh drinking water at all times. We recommend that feeding be supervised.

If you think your dog is overweight, it is always wise to speak to your vet before starting a weight reduction programme. Too rapid a loss can be bad for your dog so it is important to try and monitor the weekly weight loss.

♦  Our feeding guide is worked out for the average dog of the weight shown but your dog could differ substantially from average - requirements vary considerably between dogs. The predicted weight loss is based on a 40% reduction in calorie intake from the level necessary to maintain current weight.

As general advice, if weekly weight loss is less than that predicted, make a further 10% reduction in food. If weight loss is more than predicted, increase food intake by 10%.
